Update your Google Products with Localistico.

Google Products allows businesses to build their showcase of their products for their customers to view online. This feature is normally used for the most important products or to highlight some new products that are now available in stores.

Localistico is now able to update these products for you. This is a premium feature, if you are interested in subscribing it, please contact your Customer Success Manager.

Here are some important details about products:

  • Devices: Products can be viewed on both mobile and desktop devices, but there may be differences in display. Occasionally, Google may choose to only show products on mobile devices. If you are unable to see your products on your laptop, please be aware that this is normal.Screenshot 2024-06-26 at 13.05.39
  • New products and order: When you add a new product, it will be showcased at the top of your profile. If you wish to change the order, you have the flexibility to delete, re-add, or edit a product to adjust its position as the most recent item on your display.
  • Metrics: Currently, Google does not provide metrics for views or clicks on Google Products. Although this information may have been accessible previously, there are currently no metrics available for products in the GMB API or Google My Business portal.
  • Google reviews the new added products: When you add a new product to your Google Products showcase, it is important to note that the products are not immediately visible to customers. This is because they require approval by Google first before they can be displayed on your profile. This approval process ensures that the products adhere to Google's guidelines and policies, helping to maintain the quality and integrity of the platform. Once your products have been approved, they will then be visible to customers when they visit your profile, allowing you to effectively showcase your offerings and attract potential buyers.
  • Regulated products: Google does not allow the inclusion of regulated products or services such as health or medical devices, unapproved supplements, pharmaceuticals, financial services, gambling, alcohol, and tobacco products.
  • Relying on the Google Primary category: The Google Products feature is not available for all primary categories. Consult the availability if necessary from your Customer Success Manager.
