How we update a Yelp profile depends on whether it’s claimed under the Yelp Business account you’ve connected to Localistico. **Profiles claimed under your Business account** For these profiles, we update the name, categories, address, phone number and similar fields directly. If Yelp rejects a direct update to a field, we send that field as a suggestion instead. **Everything else goes as a suggestion** We send suggestions to Yelp in three cases: - updating profiles that aren’t claimed under your connected Business account - creating new profiles - closing profiles Yelp weighs our suggestions alongside data from its other sources, so suggested changes may take a while to appear. Sometimes the profile ends up slightly different from what you have in Localistico. **Why claim your profiles** Claiming your profiles under the connected Business account means your changes reach Yelp directly, so your data on Yelp is more likely to match Localistico. It’s also the only way to reply to Yelp reviews. Yelp can still take other sources into account, so even claimed profiles aren’t guaranteed to match exactly.
