Google allows adding a WhatsApp link to the Google business profiles, enabling customers to chat directly with the business. The WhatsApp link can be added in Localistico either manually or via the importer.
How to add a WhatsApp Link manually
1. Open a venue and navigate to the details section > WhatsApp Link and click on edit:
2. Enter the WhatsApp Link using the correct URL format. The phone number should be written in full international format, without any zeroes, brackets, spaces, or dashes.
The link must follow this structure:
https://wa.me/<number>
Example: If your phone number is +34 662297955
Use: https://wa.me/34662297955
Don't use: https://wa.me/+34662297955
Click on save when the link is added and publish the venue on Google:
How to add a WhatsApp Link using the importer?
1. Export your location data from Localistico:
2. Fill in the WhatsApp Link column in your exported file. The column is called whatsapp_url. Make sure each link starts with https://wa.me/ and follows the same formatting rules as above.
3. Upload the updated file back to Localistico:
Any import errors are specified in the errors file that can be downloaded once the import has completed. The error's column is the last column of the file.
4. Finally, publish your locations on Google.
